The basic outline of the sword. I still wanted it to be kind of girly and leg-ish looking. Plus I mean she should also be able to at least balance on it and it would be hard to do that if it wasn't a scimitar style. This I did out of apoxie sculpt.
Then time for some embellishment. I wanted there to be some wire swirls as if that was how it was attached, and also just to look cool really.
And then of course I didn't take any progress pictures. But what I did was I ended up painting the wire gold for some more contrast, doing her hair style, making a bunch of swords, and a kimono for her.
Unfortunately, I have to redo basically everything because...it all broke. The apoxie leg was too thin in the middle and I snapped it a BUNCH of times trying to get the wire onto it. The swords I sculpted I made out of paper clay, which was a mistake because I snapped those too trying to stick them in her hair and kimono. So I will have to redo her sword leg and her extra swords. But at least her face and kimono are done?
Luckily, I snapped a (single, terrible, not full length) picture before all her bits broke. So here is a basic shot of sword leg assassin girl. Once I fix her (again) I'll get some better pictures.
I also have in the words an Atlantis warrior girl who just needs an outfit, a clockwork ballerina who still needs more embellishment and also a face, and I want to make another Medusa girl. I'll hopefully have some better pictures and updates to post soon!
Happy modding!
